We identify, educate and support persons with disabilities through Disabled people organisations at village, Taluk and District levels, and create livelihood opportunities through skill development.
Education
If you want to alleviate poverty, put a book in a child’s hands. We ensure quality education to disadvantaged children through child sponsorship, career guidance and guardianship of 7 rural schools.
Natural Resources Management
Monsoon failures and depleting natural resources are a threat to the agrarian community. CMSSS educates farming community on sustainable agricultural practices and water management
Skill Development
Youth is an asset of the society and never should be a liability. We work closely with school drop-outs and unemployed youth by skilling them in garment making, beautician and retail marketing.
A Brief About Us
CMSSS has been working for 40 years in Hassan and Chikkamagaluru districts to alleviate poverty and bring social inclusion. We have been able to achieve this though meticulously planned and comprehensive programs in livelihood, inclusive development of differently abled, skill development, education and sustainable farming. We focus on creating a sustainable impact through a participatory approach. Our overall goal is the empowerment of poor and marginalized communities, leading to improvement in their lives and livelihoods.
Our alumni speak for us, who, once living hand-to-mouth, today, are Gram Panchayath members and entrepreneurs; their children are doctors and engineers.
